Letters to Leo

A father’s reflections written for my son, shared with you.

The Table the Letters Built

FEELING: Connected

A letter about how nearly fifty weeks of writing to one child became a community, and why twenty people are gathering around a table to put honest words back onto paper.

Dear Leo,

In a few weeks’ time, I’m going to sit down at one long table inside Petersham Nurseries with twenty people, hand-picked by me to be there.

There will be candles burning between us. Seasonal flowers, seasonal food. Glasses raised. Maybe even some soft jazz music playing quietly enough that nobody needs to compete with it.
